My wife is a quadriplegic. One time, while we were dating, she asked me to retrieve “the blue shoes” from her closet. After the third wrong pair of “the blue shoes” I, in frustration, asked “why does a woman who can’t walk need 20 pairs of shoes?”
And that’s the story of the first time I got “The Look” from her.
Whereupon I promptly looked a fourth time and found the correct shoes.
