True story. Iâm heading to the store to get a new bookcase to handle the overflow of books. On the way I stop at the book shop and get three new books.
I have a few of them. Not Dr. Seuss, I hate Dr. Seuss. I have one about a little mouse whoâs taking care of his sister and his parents disappear. He rescues them from under a bucket. It sounds creepy, but itâs from the 1960s. Iâll have to look for it now.
âThe strangest thing that ever could beâ,said Jonathan Wonathan Higgins McGeeâis a yellow cat with purple ears,a flouncy, pouncy kind of catwith pointed purple ears. But Iâll never see that!â
âJust the same, my dear, Iâm here.ââŠ
Now, how many decades has it been?
Later it was âA Little Princessâ, and âThe Secret Gardenâ.

It took me a while, but I found my favorite book when I was a kid. The Ghost on Windy Hill. I found it the library book sale. One of my favorites.

Over the years we have collected ALL of Dr Suessâs oeuvre. Including the Pocket Book of Boners and The Seven Lady Godivas.

I can relate. There are some comic books I regret losing; not for collectorâs item nonsense, just for re-reading.
