I have not read Heart of the City for awhile now and realized today (5/26/20) that something looked funny/different. I did some research and found there is a new artist. I am sorry that Mark Tatulli will no longer be a part of the strip, but, just seeing the new look of the comic, I can say I intensely dislike it. I adore the quirky look and drawing of the black and white ink line, it is the reason I even looked at this comic in the first place a few years ago. Sad. I will read a few of the new ones, but, will likely just cherish the old strips. Sad.

The best part is that Dean wasn’t in it.

Why couldn’t Tatulli have made this his last daily? The strip after this one (his last daily!) was so depressing. This would’ve been such a good way to end the dailies. It even feels like a final strip.

I hate that Kat literally wasn’t even mentioned at all during the COVID arc. In fact, by the time this strip ran, she hadn’t appeared in more than 6 months! And she’s supposed to be Heart’s best friend!
