ANd they were probably 2 years old when they hit the shelves.

Some hard candy, if kept in a good wrapper, can actually last for ages. In fact, some sweets and honey found in Egyptian tombs have been proven edible after more than 4000 years…

I doubt, very much, there is any meaningful change in those over even a few years.

That doesn’t matter, hard candy lasts forever as long as it’s wrapped in plastic, which candy canes usually are. You can buy a box and use it to decorate the tree for decades!!

Well, it’s not that helpful with memory.

This week it appeared that work was no longer supplying plastic forks, so I was searching through my pantry for the box of forks I bought a few years ago. Instead I found a tray of dry noodles and mix for making beef flavor noodles. I still buy that now, and I noticed slight differences in the packaging. They have expiration dates now, but not on the old packaging. I brought it to work the next day and it was okay, but it might have been five years old or older.
