I was on a dead body call. An elderly lady who lived alone. The poor lady had fallen on her stairs. She had a landing half way up with a 90 degree bend. She was laying on the landing with one leg up the stairs. The front door was at the bottom of the stairs. I was waiting for the DA and ME to call, and the doorbell rang. It was the priest from the local church. He said “I heard Mrs. So-and-so died.” I said yes. He said “Where did they take her?” I pointed with a thumb over my shoulder and said “She’s right THERE!” He looked horrified and exclaimed “GOOD LORD!” I said “Nice! Is that how they teach you to say ‘Oh Sh!t’ in the seminary?”
