Mending is a lost art! I don’t know how many collars I’ve removed and turned over to the good side and reattached, good as new. Waste not, want not!
When I darn socks or other clothing, I hold them over the trash, drop them in and pronounce, “Darn!” A sewing needle is a sharp, sliver of steel with a hole at one end for thread and my blood smeared on the other.
