Making a big deal about helping your daughter and her husband start their lives together. So far the elder Sedine isn’t doing well on first impressions.

It’s easy to see where Sedine gets her excitability from.

“Dad” reminds me of someone, but can’t quite figure out who.

I’m ‘reading’ them in the voices of Mary Tyler Moore and Jim Backus today, as a starting point.

Can’t identify their vehicle past it being a four-door sedan with optional sunroof, though I’m sure the tiny additional side windows towards the back are a clue.

My gut says it’s a Ford Crown Victoria, though.

I appreciate Sam’s word balloon in Panel #4.

Ok, so Sedine’s mom is greed, Sedine herself is no doubt envy, and Hank if definitely wrath. Any of the other characters connected to the 7 deadly sins? Don’t tell me Ow is actually pride, the most powerful sin? XD

Sam’s wearing a vest and tie today.

Mom’s dressed in a stylish pantsuit (… accessorized with pearls!) while Dad is rocking the classic “Carl Sagan” turtleneck/sports jacket combo.

Seems Sedine’s behavior comes from her mother’s side of the family.

Yup mom is a screamer and manipulator and I’m sure nitpicks everything Sedine does. Sedine is excitable but not the same, thank goodness. Mom actually looks mean. Love laid back dad, goes with the flow, but has no problem standing up to his wife.
