Oh, Sedine . . .

Boy Ellie sobered up fast, Sedine must have the “limited drunkness” brand, perfect for drunks who hate designated drivers.

Entirely different circumstances, but an ice storm in the northeast about twelve winters ago brought pretty much every compromised branch down across the power lines, resulting in catastrophic cascade failure at nearly countless points throughout the local grid. ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️

My electricity was out for about three days.

My uncle’s was out for two or three weeks. ⚡️⚡️

Thankfully, he had a wood-burning stove to keep warm, but even so it was rough. ✨

Ow must have been confused to the whole thing, as a cat he was able to see pretty well even in the dark.

If Ellie blew out two candles, she’d be going “Fufu.”

Hmm. Just in case, maybe they should snuggle together. You know, for warmth.

I love the detail in panel 2. As for Sedine’s rather non-logical comment, she is making a funny, so laugh! Actually, she would have been better off staying at home and hiding under the magic covers; at least she wouldn’t have had to listen to Ellie’s nonsense.

Is Sedine sober enough to make it back to her place?

It’s comforting to know the lights work…
