From what Bea told us these two waited a little while before “getting close”, so I don’t think Charlene is taking Roy in there for what we’re all assuming.

She calls him a “mongrel.” I think “Redneck” would fit better. Actually, he left his parents and has no where to go. His flashy outfit in the middle of a forest is really odd, and not practical. Maybe he put it on when she started showing up.
