I think it’s supposed to be a reference to the new Captain Marvel costume. (Oh wait, he’s called Shazam now, because DC assumes all it’s readers are morons.)

Made a few weeks in advance I’m sure, but with the news lately, not the best timing.

See, anyone with a hood over their face gives one pause, if not alarm. It’s not just a modern-news-cycle flap over a tragic shooting and a teenage fashion statement; this has been true for time immemorial. It may even be instinctive in us: our brains are hard-wired to make a snap assessment of a stranger’s intentions based on where they’re looking, and their facial expression — a hood conceals both, so it’s automatically processed as “threatening”. (Which is probably why some teenagers, also by mindless instinct, like wearing hoodies — they get a teen’s kick out of rattling other peoples’ cages.)

I thought the yellow one WAS the ’do.

if this is in reference to travan martin being murdered and the movement after his death, it’s beyond poor taste.

Hmm, the hood never seemed to mess up the Green Oliver’s hair, even that 70’s hippie ’do.

Also, in two panels, did Dynaman change from Fabio into Conan O’Brien ???
