Viking: You're a good swine, Hamhock. Hamhock: Thanks, Tyr. Viking: Y'know, when I was a boy, I had a swine just like you as a pet. But do you know what he served to eat at that feast? Hamhock: Sushi? Viking: Swine!! Hamhock: Oh, I doubt Lord Snortles would have eaten that... I named him Lord Snortles. He was sharp as a tack! I taught him tricks and everything. When he was fully grown, my father, Odin, threw a feast. I assumed it was for Lord Snortles' birthday.
Särimner was the name of the pig that was eaten by the gods of Valhall every night and resurrected next morning. I have a vague memory of having read that they threw his bones in a pile (for easier (needed?) recreation), but cant find a reference to this point at the moment.
