Nowhear: I pick up 2-day old bread from a Kroger’s in Dallas. It is the only one which will let me have it, the other Kroger’s on the way refuse. It goes to a Bonham food bank for vetted poor who are “in the cracks” of the system – mostly too old, infirm, and unskilled to get a job and too young for Social Security. If that is the only way you can feel superior when you are merely lucky, get a conscience transplant.
