Did I miss something? Didn’t Jane and Skye only go on “1” date? She’s clingy and bit of a stalker.

Mom might take it well, fortunately things are changing for the better. There unfortunately will always be the prejudice among us.
From the look on Skye’s face in the last panel, it wouldn’t surprise me if she outs Jane to her mom, just to get back at her for introducing her as “my FRIEND.”
