Seeing as how Medicare for All would be paid for taxes that would replace existing insurance premiums and would see huge savings from eliminating giant salaries of senior health insurance executives and the health insurance industry’s profit margin, I fail to see why we couldn’t have single payer health insurance and a balanced budget at the same time. Even without all the cost savings M4A would provide, reversing some of the GOP tax cuts and cutting out all the bloat and waste from the enormous military budget would do the trick.
