Lucky for us I stashed the smartphone in the trunk!
Pull into a parking lot, or onto the shoulder, send the text, put the phone away and resume your trip. That’s what I do. I need to make a call, send a text check a text or answer a call. I find a convenient place to get off the road, then do what I need to do.
Our policy at work is to hang up on anyone that is NOT using hands free tech. I have hung up on many before and after the provincial law went into place banning ‘distracted driving’
