Ernesto: Now I'm nervous... Do you think the gays are really out to seduce me? Maria: How could they resist such a big handsome hombre? Ernesto: Don't worry, sweetheart, I will be strong! Maria: Don't flex so much, Captain Beefcakes, you're only making it worse.

What gays do not accept is that marriage is by definition the result of a man and woman procreating. Marriage comes from the Latin “matre” or motherhood. Pregnancy can not occur any other way but with a man and woman. The fact that straight people do not adhere to the responsibility of a pregnancy is a separate issue. From a Cristian point of view sex is enjoyable for the reason of procreation and is to be shared with someone that is willing to share the responsibility of its purpose. This is why many Christians condemn sex outside of a marriage. the ceremony in a Church is more to announce the intentions of a pair to a community that has the same goals as them. Gays can have sex all they want, they can form unions under contract, they can adopt children individual or under a secular union but they can never have a marriage. Because motherhood and its synonym marriage as defined by many churches is not there.
