Bug Blog by Cuco Rocha Ay, Chihuahua That's right, GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney's father was born in Northern Mexico in a Mormon colony, and there are many family members still there. Hard to believe that somewhere out in Chihuahua there is a young man named Panchito Romney.
At least Lalo got the facts right. Mitt was born in Michigan. If you have heard of scientist Henry Eyring (1901-1981), he was also born in a Mormon Mexican colony; his son Henry B. Eyring (who is the first counselor of the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) was born in New Jersey.
