Yes, I did know thatā€¦some Latino families in Tucson, for example, have been there for 6 or 7 generations. While they still speak Spanish, their American accent overrules a Latino ā€œaccent.ā€ JMO.

The funny part is that there is a regional accent in Southern California that exists on both sides of the US/Mexico border and people of all races speak with it.

Of course all Latinos have accents. Everybody has an accent! I know plenty of Latinos with New York, Texas, Bay Area, Chihuahua, Buenos Aires, and even English (from England) accents. They may not be what everyone expects, but they are accents. /pedant

Keep it up, Lalo. This one is a funny play on words and accent without any politics. ā€œWhat do you call a girl with a short leg? Not even!ā€

Considering weā€™re dealing with a strip that even dzw was happy with, itā€™s a decent start. Again, thereā€™s always room for criticism. Itā€™d just be interesting to see if itā€™s possible to do it in a more congenial way.
