The Beandocks Cuco: "Oathkeepers" are an armed right-wing white militia that descended upon Ferguson, Missouri during recent "Black Lives Matter" protests. Oathkeepers?? With automatic weapons?? What oath are these thugs keeping? Eddie: Oathkeepers swore a holy vow to Jesus to protect the CVS and the Walgreens, and in some states, the Rite Aids.
sue has been referring to the New Black Panther Party, which has been thoroughly disavowed by those involved with the original Black Panther Party (like the Huey P. Newton Foundation and Bobby Seale), and which the Southern Poverty Law Center has called “a virulently racist and anti-Semitic organization whose leaders have encouraged violence against whites, Jews and law enforcement officers.” They have indeed shown up armed with shotguns and rifles to confront the Klan, as well as at the Waller County Jail where Sandra Bland died.
But do keep in mind that whenever the NBPP show up to protest, they’re surrounded by police and barricades, whereas the Oath Keepers were allowed to roam free on the streets of Ferguson with basically no confrontation from the police. This difference speaks very much to the attitudes of cops in this country when it comes to white folks with guns and black folks with guns.
