Guns are still too damn easy to get in this country! Even in places with strict gun laws (like Chicago), people can get their guns from nearby areas where laws are far laxer. Hopefully, with the “changing of the guard” in the White House (and, God willing, both Democratic candidates winning the GA runoff), we could perhaps work towards more uniform gun laws. Reinstating the ban on assault rifles would help too. A reasonably fit individual can outrun an attacker with a knife or a baseball bat more easily than someone with a gun.
