My sister-in-law instructed the driver to leave the washing machine and dryer behind in the old house as they didn’t need them. My brother drove down to the new house to get it ready, and the truck was to follow a couple days later. After a week, the driver showed up with most of the stuff, claiming that he’d had more work than they’d contracted for, and demanding more money. Turned out the guy had stopped at a warehouse about halfway down, unloaded a few of the more expensive things there, and then continued to the new house.
