There is a lesson here. Never let a frog that is a hypochondriac anywhere near your car keys. Particularly if your car is a stick shift. Aside from that, the bear reminds me of the deadbeat who likes to borrow cigarettes. He always is bumming one, then needs a light and is so lazy, he probably needs a kick in the chest to get him started.

It has been years since I have driven a straight shift. However, if I have to do a panic stop, I still grab the gear shift.
