Is this an old strip? “Cold fusion” was a will o’ the wisp chased by a couple of chemists, who thought they were physicists. The “helium fusion product” they thought they had found turned out to have escaped from basement cryogenic storage. NASA’s chief administrator quit the space agency to head a “cold fusion” research project, which never got anywhere. Physics is still Physics.
