    Considering what happened to the squid in the movie when he encountered the ship, I wouldn’t think he would have fond feelings about the Nautilus.

    I really liked Captain Nemo’s Nautilus in “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”! I believe it was Sean Connery’s last major film before he retired. Connery played Allan Quatermain, of course…

    Um… possibly confusing Wells with Jules Verne? Unless Wells used “Nautilus” in work I’m unfamiliar with, which is entirely possible.
