So is that a squid or a ship or…?

Considering what happened to the squid in the movie when he encountered the ship, I wouldn’t think he would have fond feelings about the Nautilus.

Maybe that’s why he’s sticking his little squid tongue out, Oldestandwisest!

I really liked Captain Nemo’s Nautilus in “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”! I believe it was Sean Connery’s last major film before he retired. Connery played Allan Quatermain, of course…

Eesh, I saw the movie about a year ago but didn’t remember the ship design.

I see now.

Somewhere in the South Seas, Captain Nemo feels a strange shiver run down his back….

Um… possibly confusing Wells with Jules Verne? Unless Wells used “Nautilus” in work I’m unfamiliar with, which is entirely possible.
