Why is this strip attributing that quote to a specific episode of The Jersey Shore from almost 15 years ago?

If that’s the real Lio, let’s go back to the unreal one.

With closure of many circuses and clown college. Clown shoes must come cheap. Last venue of the clowns — government.

Because I want life advice from people on ‘The Jersey Shore.’
