Our dog doesn’t mind my pendulum clocks, but let him hear the “beeping” sound of service truck backing up and he’s off. Doesn’t matter if he hears it on the street or the television.
ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! I LOVE the fact that the little mop-dog went off at the pre-bonging “click.” That is EXACTLY what dogs do. Our junior dog even anticipates the pizza delivery man on Fridays, watching the door, waiting for the bell. He’s generally very quiet, but when the doorbell goes off he’s a bloody air raid siren. Funny thing is, the senior dog (VERY senior) is picking up things from him. This morning I went to check for a delivery. There was no doorbell, but I put the key in the lock in anticipation. And who do I hear going off but Senior Dog? Not the siren approach for him, just one gruff, somewhat tentative WOOF, pause, then another WOOF. I don’t think he really knows WHY he did it other than he’s learning that Junior Dog gets kudos when he does it. Gotta love ’em!
