One of the dogs I have had would react to a doorbell on TV just like Max. There is no reasoning with a dog that is determined to protect the home, but it is possible to modify their reaction. That dog would just growl and no longer ran to the door after a few years of “training”.

And radio ads should not have police/fire sirens in them, since quite a lot of radio listening happens while driving around, these days.

Mine barks at doors closing or opening; cars starting or being locked/alarmed; people walking in the hallway of our apartment complex.
