I actually had a similar experience trick or treating when I was about 12 years old. We rang the doorbell, and this inebriated guy answers the door. He realizes he ran out of candy, and told us to hold on. He came back and dropped a can of beer in each our bags, closed the door, then turned off the porch light…..
