Years ago RCA used to issue albums with titles like “Mozart’s Greatest Hits” or “Beethoven’s Greatest Hits”. But then they came out with “Pachelbel’s Greatest Hit”, singular. Ten or a dozen versions, for string quartet or brass or solo contralto, etc. The cover art was a multi-barreled cannon. Get it? Get it?
