Glad you got this. Here’s how a cartoonist – or at least this cartoonist – worries. I had to fit at least three people on the couch. And I had to show the captain’s hook. That meant I had to draw it, not in the clear, but in front of someone else. Sounds simple enough, but sometimes newspaper reproduction smears the grays and there wouldn’t be enough contrast to see the hook. You don’t see it; you don’t get the joke. There you go, inside baseball on what I worry about to bring you something stupid.
