It wouldn’t surprise me at all if this “sale” drew customers in.

I’ve heard them insist that last month’s “Buy one, get 2nd one 50% off” was a better discount than the current 25% off store-wide (it’s NOT!!) I’ve seen them at the grocery store, buying 3 for $8, instead of the regular $2.59 each…and paying more for things in the large “economy” bag.

In fact, those 9 oz “family size” cans of tuna cost more than twice as much as a 6oz can.

    Sigh…..

And there is 2 ozs of water in that 5 oz can.

I using a few cans of tuna for a salad, so I weighed them out and they all came out to 2.5 to 3.0 oz of actual tuna in a 5 oz can.

I remember when I used to order for a department at a grocery store, we’d check the ad to see what was going on sale so we could order up. I saw yoplait yogurts in the ad so I ordered enough to cover a sale. The day the sales started I didn’t see any sale tags so I asked the person who did tags and she looked into it and we discovered that… they were in the ad alright, but at regular price. _

Ad does not equal sale price. Ad is short for advertisement. Most places advertise their prices and yes they are regular price not a sale price. Lowe’s and Home Depot are famous for it.

Remember the 3-lb can of coffee (48 oz.)? Over the years it became 44 oz., 42 oz., 38 oz. … and last couple of years the 3-lb can is 32 oz. Now $9 instead of $6.
