@WECATS: Interestingly, doctors have been urging later start times for high school for awhile, saying that the adolescent brain doesn’t function that well early (?!) Some school districts here in Central Florida are voting to try a later start time, but one of the problems is that they use the same school buses for elementary and high school. If they start high school later, they’ll have to start elementary earlier. I think parents of first graders will naturally object to their kids waiting for the bus before dawn…
