That sounds like a conversation between my child and I when she was younger, other than the last panel. I always called her a marketing marvel.

I miss the old K-Mart blue light specials. One of my favorites was me needing a box fan and going into KMart to get one. While I was just arriving at the box fans displays the blue light announcement came over the speaker that “box fans for $10”. I was standing right there and picked one up saving $10 or $20 (can’t recall exact amount but at least a $20 or $30 fan). Of course KMart itself is about gone.

Geez, just calm down. Buy something. Enjoy your privilege.

They only “win” if you read the ads. I know what I need to live my life. I don’t need ads, especially “personalized ads”, describing all the things I didn’t need before which have been reduced in price because no one needed them before.
