Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Iâve always wondered whether all the hours you need to spend supervising a garage sale would actually be worth the money you took in. People I knew found it was worth more to donate the items to a thrift store and take a charitable tax deduction.
I had a brand new alarm clock I wanted to sell. It was $10 new, the tag said $1. A man who wanted it kept harassing me, insisting on buying it for a dime. I told him that it was $1 firm but he did not relent, âNo no madam. Ten cents.â until I took it away from him and said it wasnât for sale anymore. He no doubt was going to take it to his shop and sell it full price. People need to learn. One guy I was aware was trying to manipulate me, spotted my Bible themed books and said âLord help meâ to which I echoed, Yes, please help him.

This was 1996. 5 cents was worth something then. Almost a nickel.
