A Poem by Luann DeGroot: I wish I had a horse-of course my parents don't agree. My father says,"when you were six you lost your parakeet!" My mother says, "would you provide the time and care that's needed? Remember how your goldfish died when you forgot to feed it?" I guess I'll never get a horse...but isn't it absurd-to know it's all decided by a goldfish and a bird?!
