Brad: Hello? Dad: Brad? It's dad. Brad: Hi, Dad. Where are you? Dad: Oh, I'm in a phone booth at a sleazy, run down bar about 20 miles from town. Brad: Uh...what're you doin there, Dad? Dad: Well, do you recall when you borrowed my car and you promised to put gas in it?
If your a parent it may be a good idea to check behind your own kids to make sure they did what they were supposed to do. It is not really about trust but about learning and growing up.
In short the dad should have checked the gas gage and yes the son should have put gas in the car.
