miss phelps: if i charged regular psychiatry rates, i'd be a wealthy woman. miss phelps: on luann alone, i could buy a villa in monaco... luann: you know what on of my big problems is, miss phelps? people don't- miss phelps: you're not a good listener luann. luann: -pay attention to me. it's like when- miss phelps: you'd be surprised at how many new friends you'd have if you'd learn to listen more. luann: -i say something, no one hears me. or if- miss phelps: i've found that people always gravitate to those who are good listeners. luann: -they do hear me, they don't seem interested, like i'm not worth listening- miss phelps: it's ok to talk about oneself a little, but one must also hear what others are saying. luann: -to. and sometimes people just cut me- miss phelps: i know what i'm talking about, here. after all, as a counselor, i'm trained to listen luann: miss phelps. are you listening to m- miss phelps: luann, you're not even listening to me! luann: huh? miss phelps: what?
Why haven’t they fired her a long time ago. A rock would be better at her job than her. At least it would not interrupt you when you were speaking.
