luann: dear diary: i have no desire to look like these magazine models. i'm happy just how i am. luann: not. luann: you know what i've learned from all these magazines, bernice? bernice: what? luann: that my legs should be long but my nose should be short. luann: my lips should look shiny but my face shouldn't. luann: my fingernails should look wet but my underarms should be dry. luann: my eyelashes should be thick but my waist should be thin. luann: i should have body in my hair but no hair on my body. luann: and i should wear makeup to look natural. luann: can't i just be myself? bernice: sure. but you should look like someone else.
