That’s because of the colorist. Besides, I suspect TJ is biracial, so it would make sense for there to be some skin ambiguity in different light settings. I think he was originally supposed to be African American, anyway, at least partially, but absolute consistency over a 27-year-old series is a difficult thing to achieve. :) Eh, what do I know. I’m just speculating.
