Luann: "Rosa. if you go off to save the world- what about Gunther?" Rosa: "You mean would he go, too?" Luann: "Yeah, I can't really see him digging an aqueduct in Ecuador" Rosa: "Actually, there's LOTS of things I can't see him doing..."
Rosa is certainly having her doubts. But whether this is a foreshadowing of her impending break-up from Gunther or instead a sneaky bit of misdirection from Greg is not easy to say. It does seem rather hasty in contrast to how the strip tends to unfold slowly. If, however, Gunther and Rosa do split up, then there might come to be a Luann-Quill-Gunther triangle to resolve….
