Mr. Snyder: How does he get in and out of his doghouse? Phil: Tunnels. Dog Gone Funny: Kalamazoo, MI. Susan (Le Rash) Howell's family had Rex, a German Shepherd. The town whistle would blow at 7 A.M. noon, and 1 P.M. and 6 P.M. Monday through Saturday, and Rex howled at those exact times... even on Sunday.
