The Principled* Pachyderm. A republican paints signs with declarations like "Never, ever raise taxes," "Marriage is Sacred," and "Big Gov't Is Bad." However, each poster has an asterisk added to the slogan.
Military spending is less than 5% of the budget. Unearned entitlements are OVER HALF of the budget.
Why was defense spending even listed when we already spend close to as much on things that are DESIGNED to generate no return, or advantage, for the government or its people. Unless of course you’ve already divided between “your” people and “their” people with “their” part being where gets the cash and the “your” part being where you cut checks for “their” checks.
At least paying for the military you get something for your money, or can we start using unearned entitlements as forward deployed dollars and call them due later with alittle military service.
