I was so disappointed when the observatory’s only view of Halley’s comet was right over a well-lighted parking lot on the campus, a parking lot for which security refused to kill the lights so the comet could be picked up in the observatory telescope. And I doubt I’ll live another 50 or so years for the next pass.
