Thanks, everybody who liked my attempt at a timeline synopsis yesterday…
If you didn’t see it, and you’re wondering about Annie, MetroMart, whether these are re-runs, etc… you might take a look…
Maybe (I hope) it will help a little.
In 2012 JWF showed up himself, and explained what he was doing… it would be great if he could do that again.
To answer a couple of comments…. I don’t think it’s random at all.
I think JWF (John) is laying out the plot purposely.
I said these unemployment scenes were originally part of an earlier layoff arc….
but we skipped that firing, and they’re good strips, so he’s using them where they would fit well into a later one.
It’s possible that he’s mixing it up, just to make it different and keep us guessing…
But what I can’t help wondering is whether he’s trying to shorten the story, so we get to Annie faster…
I do agree that each strip stands on its own.
And @BlueIris….
Thank you! But it’s not just memory.
I’d be lost if that were it.
I found this strip in 2011, when we posters from Comics.com were absorbed into GoComics.
I’d started reading the archives, to catch up, when the strip ended just over a year later….
and every so often I went back after that, comparing the old strips with the reboot…. and even made a few notes.
That’s what I referred to in my post.
Yup, big comics fan… and nerd.

since everyone asks about her and may not be patient with a two year wait to get to that arc.I do agree that each strip stands on its own.
