True. My wife gets obvious scam calls and answers them. As most have spoofed local numbers she assumes “It might be someone I know.” Letting it go to voicemail seems impossible.
Many times I like to send a text, rather than a phone call, at least initially. That way, I feel that I am not unduly intruding, and the person can respond at their leisure.
