My loving wife and I were married for 34 years and her Mother barely tolerated me but she loved her Daughter and our son. For the most part it was okay because I love(d) my wife and would do anything for her. We let her Mother move in with us when she was diagnosed with dementia and that was probably the worst part of our marriage because the “issues” we had were over her Mother. I was the primary caregiver while my loving wife was at work and she took over when she was home. Sadly my loving wife died in March suddenly and unexpectedly leaving me to care for MIL all alone and it was hard knowing she didn’t like me. She died in August and I did what I could because I still love my wife and I tried to honor her as best as I could.
