Let him get into a little trouble now and again... maybe allow him zome catnip... maybe even let him claw zeh couch... BUT NOT ZEH LEATHER!

Fleshy (or Fleschy, in Doc’s Viennese accent) is not only a master-puppeteer but also ambidextrous at it! And once the Puppetmaster has his claws into that leather couch, I think it’s too late to attempt an extraction with success….
