Such a mental lapse is uncharacteristic of Fleshy. But, then, he is a cat and is therefore privileged to act oddly at times.

Why does he even need a pet door? If he can knit and snowboard, he should be able to open the door. Unless maybe he tends to forget to close it, so Monty locks it when Fleshy goes out…
