He's having a picnic with a fire hydrant? It all started as a prank... I drew a face on the hydrant... But now I worry it's gone too far... Ahh... I wouldn't worry... What's the harm in a little fantasy romance? It's easy for you to say... You didn't see his face yesterday when Ms. Baxter had and oven fire and the fire department hooked up a hose...
Ah, Chester Potts, 50 years later. Walt Kelly (Pogo) did the same kind of story line a half-century ago. A wall-street robot, programmed to make money for its maker, fell in love with a fire hydrant. He was aghast as firemen hooked up hoses to her…er… pretty parts. Wild with jealousy, he had an affair with a US Mailbox who turned out to be a government agent. He ended up a broken robot, on the street corner, with people asking not how it started, but how it wound up.
