Weathermen (and women) should be obliged to stand out in the actual weather at all times during their reports. “Wintry mix,” indeed. Moondog is quite right in his colorful description of it.

I just wish every snow event wasn’t treated like a natural disaster by the news. Most of it is hype and ratings, and outdoing the other stations.Then there are the exciting terms like “artic blast”. We often hear about “cold fronts”, but rarely hear the term “warm front” which are about as common. “Cold front” grabs more attention.
